Suppose the orthotics are not quite right when they arrive?
What sort of conditions can be treated in this way?
Orthotics are shoe inserts which are individually designed to balance your body, alter the way you walk and make your joints work more efficiently. When your body is out of balance, many joints can't work in the best way and this leads to pain.

Mrs Wilson first asks you some questions, then performs a full biomechanical diagnostic examination. She explains her findings as she goes along.
There is no charge for this first appointment.
When Mrs Wilson has made her preliminary assessment, she lets you know whether she can help you. Advice costs nothing at this stage. If necessary she books a further appointment.

Mrs Wilson designs and fits a temporary pair of orthotics for you to test.
This can take about an hour and a half and involves going out for a walk or run in them before the
order is placed. You need to be certain that they are helping before you commit yourself!
The cost of £140 covers a total of two hours, including both this and the fitting appointment and scan.
Don't forget to ask about insurance to refund up to 75% of the total costs.

When your own pair of orthotics arrives, Mrs Wilson will contact you to make a fitting appointment.
She will make sure that the orthotics fit both your feet and your shoes.
She will then perform a dynamic footscan which provides additional information on your gait from foot
pressures and timings which are invisible even to a trained eye.
This allows us to check the orthotics are doing their job before you take them home.
A posture change is usual and with your permission Mrs Wilson may ask to photograph this for research
purposes.

Imagine choosing a pair of shoes and buying them without trying them on!

Most orthotics are only guaranteed for a year. Because the flexible carbon shells of Scanyourfeet orthotics are so strong, the manufacturer guarantees them for life against breakage and loss of shape.

A pair of orthotics, custom made and checked in use before ordering costs £220.
If you need two pairs, inexpensive insurance provided by the manufacturers includes the provision of a second pair,
all refurbishments for both pairs and replacement for theft, loss or damage.

This situation is extremely rare, as small adjustments to improve the fit in shoes can be done at the time. However, if necessary, Mrs Wilson will return them to the manufacturers. She is committed to getting them right and pays for any necessary alterations herself.
